Initially, all businesses must be approved through the City of Greer's Planning and Zoning Department. Applications are available at our Building and Development Standards Department or on this website.
Home-based businesses should submit the Zoning Permit for Home Occupation application
Commercial businesses submit the Certificate of Zoning Compliance application
Information needed for the applications includes the address and tax map number of the business location and the property owner’s name and phone number. Tax map numbers can be found through the Greenville County or Spartanburg County Assessor’s office.
Zoning approval must be granted before continuing. Please allow 2-5 days for processing.
