The City of Greer Fire Department holds many responsibilities.  We are highly trained in all aspects of Fire, Rescue, and Medical First Response.

Our medical personnel respond to any report of a medical emergency within our twenty-five square mile service area.  Our personnel are licensed by SC DHEC as Medical First Responders at the intermediate level. The services rendered by the department’s personnel include basic medical treatment, cardiac treatment with Automatic External Defibrillation, Advanced Airway Intubation, and IV administration.   Many local jurisdictions do not have the capabilities of performing services like cardiac treatment and IV administration.  The City of Greer Fire Department is one of only a handful of departments that use advanced procedures.
